Todd A. Chavez

I have served as the Dean of the University of South Florida Libraries since July 2015. My research focuses on the intersection between library and information science and interdisciplinary research, with projects spanning the geosciences, environment and natural history, and digital heritage. The results of my research have been applied 1) to the design of courses, 2) to the implementation of an open-access publishing agenda, and 3) to a series of digital library collections and services.

My previous portfolio as the Director for Academic Resource combined traditional technical services with innovations in digital scholarship, GIS and data management, and open-access publishing.
