Adolescent girls in transition

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine what factors differentiate adolescent girls whose mothers are enrolled in TANF who are fairing well and whose lives are seemingly on a positive trajectory from those girls facing more serious challenges. Additionally, the study attempted to determine what supports would be helpful to the teenage girls facing challenges, in order to assist them in making a successful and productive transition into adulthood.
