Abstract

The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee (USFSM) is a regional campus of the University of South Florida system. At the end of each library instruction session, students complete a one-minute paper highlighting what they learned in the session. Librarians met with USFSM Institutional Effectiveness to discuss using three years’ worth of this collected qualitative data to determine the impact of library instruction on student success. This study will be ongoing, with an initial determination of impact within the next year. The proposed study is similar to a recent study by Mary O’Kelly at Grand Valley State University.
