Abstract
In the practice of information security, it is easy to become so focused on what’s happening inside your network that you forget about the actors that generate the threat. But knowledge of adversaries’ intentions, capabilities and activities in the cyber domain, or cyber intelligence, enables our ability to intervene before an attack occurs—to get “left of the hack.” Intelligence collection and analysis provide essential tools for staying ahead of the adversary.
