Abstract

This 4-hour workshop is designed for health care professionals interested in conducting guardianship evaluations for the courts. It was developed in accordance with Florida Statutes 744.331. Reviewed in this program is the law shaping guardianship and incapacity in Florida, the adjudicatory process, the appropriate role of examining committee members, and the clinical-forensic assessment of civil competencies (e.g., capacity to manage one's health care and financial affairs).
