N2 - A small group of bilingual students worked together to create a report on the French and Indian War. Their teacher placed them together and encouraged them to use Spanish, their first language. Two preservice teachers, Ms. Tabitha (L1) and Ms. Alicia (L2), self-selected to work with this group. This case focuses on their instructional choices and the students’ corresponding reactions.
