Abstract
Metrics and visibility tools are advancing at a fast pace an in many cases, faculty and researchers are unaware of the best ways to use available resources to best demonstrate their impact in their academic fields. With this in mind, librarians at the University of South Florida Libraries decided to look at the literature and available online information on current best practices related to faculty and graduate impact and visibility services. In addition, what are the best ways to combine current related offerings at the USF Libraries?
To best serve the libraries community and our academic users, how did the USF Libraries create a more comprehensive and cohesive planning, implementation, marketing, and assessment regarding these increasingly important collection tools and services? Participants in this session will be led in a discussion on discoverability and visibility services, as well as a description of the past, current, and ongoing effort at the USF Libraries to help an entire team of research and instruction librarians better serve the tenure, promotion, and visibility needs of faculty and students in all subject areas.
