Abstract

<p> In fall 2011, the Academic Resources Unit of the University of South Florida (USF) Library officially launched Scholar Commons, an institutional repository (IR) intended to serve as a virtual showcase for USF&rsquo;s research and creative energies. Scholar Commons, which can be accessed at: <a href="http://scholarcommons.usf.edu/"> http://scholarcommons.usf.edu/ </a> , provides digital preservation and free open access (OA) to scholarly works produced by the USF Community. Our vision is to become a vehicle to drive research communication across academic disciplines.</p><p> Through our dedication to and outreach of scholarly communications, we have generated many positive outcomes. This report chronicles our initiatives during the 2014/2015 fiscal year (FY), and includes: <ul> <li> A review of the purpose, people, and platform behind Scholar Commons </li> <li> A recap of our design additions and changes </li> <li> A summary of where and why new content was added </li> <li> A study of current reports and statistics </li> </ul></p>
